Amused in Old(er) Age

This week's episode of South Park was called "Major Boobage". The latter word is a good start as I am a big fan of such. However, the episode rocked my world and amused me greatly when it featured scenes reminiscent of the 1981 film "Heavy Metal" AND cats. I love the music from the film and by now it should be very apparent I am a fan of the felines. The combination had me clapping and hooting through the entire episode. I had to watch it twice, and I suspect it will my all-time favorite.

My lovely mate and I wondered if those of the younger generation fully caught the "inside" references to the scenes from "Heavy Metal". Was it as impacting to those not familiar with the classic movie? I don't know.
