Shaman - Sun

Singing for Animals

wulfwalker and I went thrift store shopping today. She found a great little book named "I Sing for the Animals" by Paul Goble. The rear flap of the books says "Paul's lifelong interest in the Plains Indians has resulted in the creation of picture books that comprise a literary heritage cherished by Native Americans and those interested in their culture". The short sayings in the book echo this, and I would like to share some of them.

Caught my eye:

Nothing in nature is evil. We may sometimes dislike flies or spiders, the skunk or snakes, and yet they only do what their Creator means them to do.

Caught wulfwalker's eye:

We see God in the sun and the moon, and in the rocks and mountains, and in all the works of his Creation. We draw near to him when we are close to the things that he has made.

Good stuff...
