Poem - When You Find Out

I am working through all the seasons of CSI New York. One episode was about a women who found out she had months to live. She had a line that sprung a poem to mind. Life goes on when you find out you're dying, but everything is different.

When You Find Out
Poem for Day 021 – 20141014

When you find our you're dying,
the world looks very different.
No denying, priorities are flipped.
No crying, life becomes far to short.

When you find our you've lost it all,
the world looks very different.
No supplying, nothing is at hand.
No buying, money has no power.

When find you you're at the journey's end,
the world looks very different.
No relying, the maps mean nothing.
No retrying, everything has been done.

I'd be lying if I told you if I told you different.
I'd be decrying truth if I said something else.
When you find out it's all over,
the world looks very different.
