Poem - Left Stage Door

This is a poem I wrote before I started my 90 days of poetry. I can see some differences between my stuff now and then.

Left Stage Door
Poem for Day 066 – 20141128

I’ll be waiting by the left stage door
Behind the disused backdrops
By that bust of Fae Mae
Could it have been Mae West?
The desire is the same to me

The actors are on the stage
We are here in the wings
Accompanied by my memories
Are you real?
I think you are real to me

Our time is too brief
The relief is tangible
Tattered wisps and fading echoes
Is this all I have?
Here by the left stage door
