Poem - Valentine's Day

A bonus poem for the 13th of February!

Valentine's Day
Bonus Poem for Day 044 – 20150214

Heart be the hunter,
on Februa's former day,
Lupa, mother of all,
lead not our ways astray.

Sacrifice the satyr,
his service is at hand,
fertile will be the maidens,
strikes and dance combined.

Forget not the Romans
and Lupercalia's ancient day.
Popes suppress the past,
yet lovers are still to play.

Now forward the card,
sweets of mouth to pay.
Seek Lupa's boon favor
on this the Valentine's day.
