Poem - Covet

One of the difficult tasks of living is to be comfortable in your own skin, and do so to the point of not being overly covetous of others.

Poem for Day 338 – 20151205

Mark of madness
desire within
to be another
the gifts they have.

Dazzle the throngs
beauty blessed
guilty longing
for another's face.

Spin the wheel
amaze the crowd
other talents
should be mine.

Dreams inside
aspirations without
driven actions
borrowed thus.

So many things
not mine to have
pass them over
so I can celebrate.

Could I be
someone else
would this make
me like myself.
